- Next, prepare your water. The ideal temperature of water should be 195 degrees. You can heat it in a stove. Make sure that the water is hot enough. It would be best to also invest in a thermometer to check how hot the water is, rather than relying on mere guesswork.
- Next, add you grounds to your French Press. For best results, you should double the amount compared to what you usually use in brewing regular coffee. Splash hot water on the top of the coffee, just enough to make it bloom. After this, add the water you have earlier boiled. Wait for a few minutes and stir the coffee.
- Put the lid on the top of the French Press. Seeping time should be at least 4 minutes. If you want a stronger shot, you should wait longer.
